Graduation Requirements and Course Selections

Graduation Requirements

It is important that students meet the minimum requirements to graduate from high school and to enter the post-secondary institution of their choice. For example, entrance requirements for Memorial University are different from College of the North Atlantic. The high school program is structured on a course credit basis. Students require 36 credits to graduate; however, most students complete 16 credits each year for a total of 48 credits after three years. NOTE:

Although homeroom teachers will periodically sit down with students to ensure they are on track to graduate, we highly recommend that parents periodically sit down with their child to review courses and programming. Please contact the school ASAP if you have any questions or concerns about your child’s courses.
