Congratulations Brooke, Angelina, and Liam!
Brooke White, Angelina Maine, and Liam Coombs delivered outstanding speeches, impressing both the audience and adjudicators with their talent and poise.
During the break, Zealya Hallingham captivated the crowd with original songs and a fantastic cover of Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit.
A special congratulations to Brooke White for earning 2nd place in the competition—well done!

Rycor Account Setup - Parent Login Instructions
Parents of students in Grade K-6 will need to go to Rycor's NLESD login page and click “Rycor Parent Login” to create a Rycor account. Once created, they will be able to add their child to their account by entering their child's Student Number and some other student information (for confidentiality purposes).

Badminton Club - Mondays 2:30 - 4:00
Interesting in playing badminton? Starting on March 10th, there will be a baminton club after school on Mondays between 2:30 - 4:00 PM.

Parent-Teacher Interviews - Thursday, November 28th
Dear parents,
Parent teacher Conferences are scheduled from 1-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Thursday Nov. 28th.
Meeting times can be scheduled using School Appointments .com or by contacting the school. Appointments will be available for booking from Friday, Nov. 22nd to Wednesday, Nov. 27th.
When using School Appointments .com all families will need to register and create an account prior to scheduling the parent teacher meeting. The enclosed PDF will guide you through the setup and scheduling of your appointments.
Report cards will be released on Friday, Nov. 22nd. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 pm on Thursday Nov. 28th

Terry Fox School Run!
Queen Elizabeth Regional High School is participating in the Terry Fox School Run! We are so proud to be a part of this Canadian tradition in the fight against cancer.
Run date: Thursday, September 26th at QE
Students were given pledge sheets on Thursday, Sept. 12th. If you didn’t receive one, there are extras at the office. For every $10 raised, you are awarded 1 career hour. For more information, see Ms. Walsh.

SafeArrival / School Messenger
For the 2024-25 school year, we will be using the student absence reporting system called SafeArrival/School Messenger to ensure that student attendance is quicker and easier for parents and staff.
Note that the QE attendance email will be monitored but not as frequently. See the attached PDF for instructions.
Opening Day – Wednesday, September 4th
Grade 10’s 8:30-10:30 AM
Grade 11’s 12:00-2:00 PM
Grade 12’s 12:00-2:00 PM
Buses start their routes at the usual time in the morning to pick up Grade 10 Students and drop them off at the school as scheduled.
10:30 am, buses will pick up Grade 10's to return home.
Then at 12:00 pm start the routes again, picking up Grade 11 & 12 Students,
School will dismiss for the day at 2:00 pm.
